The 16.1% growth normally will bring higher bills, which will negatively affect the economy”, Kasumi said. He said Kosovo is not prepared for transition to the free energy market, as according to him, for the time being, businesses are being supplied only by one operator, K ESCO, and there is no competitive free market.
We've only been offered energy from an operator, and that's KESCO. The other operator is not offered at the moment, it shows there is no free market, but a monopoly. The price we've been offered is triple the one we pay now,” said Kasumi.
According to him, this situation will affect the increase in the price of products produced by his company.
“in the way we operate, we need to increase the price of the final product, and this will be reflected in the sale, but even in the number of employees,” concluded it.
