After NATO Foreign Ministers meeting in Antalya, Secretary General NATO, Mark Rutte, said they have been negotiating Russia's ongoing fight against Ukraine.
He said they reiterated full support for US President Donald Trump's urgent efforts to bring the war to a fair and stable end as soon as possible.
All of this, increased defence investments, increased industrial defence capacity, and continued support for Ukraine will help preserve stability throughout our Euro-Atlantic zone”.
Rutte said Germany was taking the lead in increasing defence spending.
NATO allies should focus on industrial defence production, he said.
“Russia, according to some estimates, is producing in three months in terms of ammunition -- what all NATO produces in one year -- and Russia has only 5% of NATO's overall economy size. This is not sustainable”.
“Russia is the long-term” threat, Rute said, Reuters wrote. /Periscopi/
