His full response:
Tonight, the capital will begin to flee waste. Sab run!
The Pristina municipality is facing an open sabotage from the company “Cleaning”, a public company that, under the current direction, has become a symbol of mismanagement and lack of responsibility.
During our term, this company has benefited:
• 11.5m euros in direct euros from the Pristina municipality, according to contractual obligations,
• 1.4m euros for the purchase of new cleaning trucks,
• 3,800 new containers, financed by the municipality,
• 400,000 euros in additional subsidies.
Despite this extraordinary support, however, the “Cleaning management” has misused public money for:
• Pay increases for chief chief and manager,
• unnecessary and politically motivated employment contrary to the real needs of the company.
Last week, as head of the capital, I have called an extraordinary session for May 13th 2025, with the aim of subsidising the wages of the workers of this company worth 300,000 euros. Unfortunately, this session failed because of the unwilling participation of the opposition.
To inform citizens:
The Pristina municipality in December 2024 and in February 2025 has officially invited the company “Cleaning” to sign the service contract, but this has been deliberately rejected by its management, in an open effort for political sabotage.
The peak of this sabotage has been achieved today, with the ban on waste collection services across Pristina, though the Pristina Community is the biggest sponsor of the company.
Scandalous is the fact that this ban applies only to the capital, which clearly testifies to the political motives behind the decision.
The Cleaning Company's statements of management -- that the Pristina municipality owes 2.7m euros -- are PRATETA.
The Pristina municipality has ZERO debt to the company “Cleaning”.
The situation created as a result of non-reference of services from the company “Cleaning”, which jeopardises public health in the capital, will be completed immediately.
Tonight, the capital will begin to flee waste.
We will use all available alternative mechanisms.
Sab run!
We assure you that the capital is considering all legal opportunities not to allow the repetition of such situations.
Citizens of Pristina deserve decent service, not political blackmail!
