Vlora was the last stop of incumbent Edi Rama under the election campaign, where he held the closing meeting this Thursday. In an enthusiastic atmosphere, Rama stressed the importance of developing this circuit during the Socialist Party's rule.
Speaking of the election outcome, Rama voiced conviction that the SP could achieve a new record in Vlora County.
With all these transformations made to Vlora, and with four years of giving Vlora across Albania all the jealousy that has been created because of me, it's not good for the SP to climb to 80 and 80 and change mandates and Vlora to remain at 8. But I know that the boilers know it all by themselves and I don't want to insist that I know better, but I want to make sure that if in these years it's been done for Vlora all the years taken together, in the next four years we're going to continue to do for Vlora things that seem impossible today”Rama said.
He named Vlora one of the most strategic points for Albania's tourist and economic development.
I'll tell you all that if we were in 2030 today, here in Vlora it would be a place that the whole of Europe would hold as a first destination. Remember these words that are not campaign words, are words related to what we have yet planted in Vlora 2030, Albania 2030. Remember these words, which by the end of this decade, will have come with the greatest names, the largest firms, all the beautiful things gathered around a country when that country becomes the jewel of Mediterranean tourism“, he said.
Rama also shared news of the plane's first landing at Vlora Airport, which he viewed as an important engine for economic development and circuit employment.
Over 1,000 people, mostly young boys and girls, will be employed at Vlora Airport. The airport will not only have passenger planes, but it will also have cargo planes that will carry and carry goods and packages of all sizes, as they do around the world. There will be an aircraft repair and maintenance centre for some of the largest European companies. Soon flights start at Vlora Airport”The prime minister said.
“Vlora will have among the most beautiful yacht ports in the Mediterranean. Triport will be a serious port for ships that take and bring goods as well as fishing boats. Hotels are starting to rise. The most prestigious hotel firms will come to Vlora. Vlora Coast will become one of the most popular destinations in the Mediterranean”Rama said. /Periscope/
