As the BBC writes, the Kremlin has announced that Russia's delegation to Thursday's Istanbul talks will be headed by presidential deputy Vladimir Medicsy.
While the Ukrainian delegation will be headed by President Volodymyr Zelensky, who will be in the Turkish capital tomorrow to meet first with Turkey's president, Recep Tayip Erdogan, broadcast Periscope.
Putin and Zelensky have not had a head-on meeting since December 2019, while Russia and Ukraine held direct negotiations for the last time in March 2022 in Istanbul, shortly after Moscow began its neighbor's full invasion.
