Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo Again, he has filed charges against defendants A.V. for criminal acts “Spying” and “Keeping access, control or unauthorized possession of weapons”, following a several-month investigation.
According to the prosecution, the defendant A.V., in the quality of the agent Resident, allegedly from an indefinite date until his arrest on 26 June 2024, has gathered and sent documents and sensitive information that endanger Kosovo's constitutional order and national security, including the lives of state officials and citizens, to the Bureau of Intelligence and Security of the Republic of Serbia.
The provided evidence indicates that A.V. had created a network of informants from the ranks of employees in international organisations in Kosovo, mainly of Serbian nationalism, from which it provided political and security information. He had also compiled data on Serbian citizens in Kosovo in order to present them as collaborators of Kosovo security institutions, with possible consequences for their lives and security.
The information gathered, according to the indictment, has been forwarded to a senior BIA official, R.G., chief of one of the headquarters of this agency in Serbia through telephone communications and direct meetings.
During the raid of the accused's house by Kosovo police, he was found and seized without permission by a Crvena Zastava-type gun and a tear gas duster, contrary to the law in effect.
The prosecutor of the case has proposed continuing custody of the A.V. until the completion of the trial process, demanding that it be found guilty of both criminal acts and be forced to pay the costs of the procedure. /Periscope/
