(a year ago)Kosovo police have announced that last night, on 30 May 2025, by 22:00, have conducted a search action at four nightclubs in the town of Mitrovica, under an operational plan drafted by the Police Station for the prevention and discovery of illegal activities in these environments. [...]
Municipal inspectors as well as specialised narcotics trafficking investigation units and human trafficking investigation unit have also participated in the operation.
During the raids, a firearm has been found in one of the premises owned by a person. The suspect, D.K., 62, citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, has been arrested at the scene. After the interview, at the prosecutor's order, he was released in regular procedure, while the case for criminal activity “has been initiated in possession, control or unauthorized possession of weapons”.
The weapon has been confiscated and used as material evidence in further procedures.
Municipal inspectors have imposed fines on two of the areas controlled for administrative violations, while a local is temporarily closed.
Kosovo police have declared that such shares will continue in order to ensure public order and security in high-frequency areas during night hours.
