According to authorities, some passengers have lost their lives, while no local residents have been seriously injured. The plane, a Cessna 550, had 8 to 10 passengers and crashed in the Murphy Canyon district on Thursday morning.
After the fall, several homes were destroyed and multiple cars set on fire. One resident, Christopher Moore, indicated that he woke up from a severe explosion and, looking at smoke, took his family and fled to the street, where he saw a car involved in flames. He described the situation as <x0 assumeer”, but stressed the importance of saving life.
Authorities have evacuated about 100 people and are working to determine the cause of the accident. The plane was allegedly headed for Montgomery Field, a nearby airport. Investigations are under way and more information is expected in the next few hours.
