In a media communique, The PDK has said it regrets Kosovo's fall to 99th place in the World Press Freedom Index.
This decline is not the fault of journalists, but the direct consequence of a depression, fear and blackmail environment that this government has created for media and information professionals.
Instead of supporting free journalism, current power has chosen to attack journalists, label them, ignore legitimate questions and favour propaganda on transparency.

On World Press Freedom Day, we express gratitude to all journalists and media employees in Kosovo who continue to report with dedication and professionalism, despite attacks and links by power.
It grieves Kosovo's fall to 99th place in terms of the World Press Freedom Index.
This decline is not the fault of journalists, but the direct consequence of an environment of intimidation, fear and blackmail that this government has created for media and information professionals.
Instead of supporting free journalism, current power has chosen to attack journalists, label them, ignore legitimate questions and favour propaganda on transparency.
