Pakistan Prime Minister Shefbas Sharif's office has said that the country's armed forces have been authorised to take into account “relevant operations” following India's attacks, Reuters reports.
India has attacked Pakistan and Pakistani Kashmir on Wednesday evening, in the worst wars for decades between the two countries that possess nuclear weapons.
Pakistan claims it crashed five Indian planes during the attack. But Indian Defence Ministry officials have not confirmed the figure.
India claims it has hit nine targets it described as the <x0 terrorist infrastructure”, says time.net.
Islamabad has announced that six Pakistani locations were targeted and that none of them were militants' camp. At least 26 civilians have been killed and 46 injured, a Pakistani Army spokesman has said.
Indian police and doctors have said at least seven civilians have been killed and 30 others have been injured by revenge strikes and Pakistani grants at night.
The attacks come weeks after 26 tourists, mainly Indians, were killed by militants in India-run Kashmir.
Countries, including Russia and China, have called for calm and expansion between the two nations. A United Kingdom minister has said his government is willing to assist both sides in expansion.
Kashmir's control in the Himalayas has been discussed since India and Pakistan gained independence from Britain in 1947. India and Pakistan have fought twice over over territory, recently in 1999. /Periscope/
