On Tuesday, May 27th, the Ministry of Agriculture accepted <x0miesfir” of justice.
After the raid was carried out there, and the minister on duty, Faton Peci was interviewed by the Special Prosecutor.
“Yes, we can confirm that it's being interviewed”, the prosecution said briefly.
This came after Periscop's report about the scandal with the animal waste factory that has cost the state over 8m euros, which has been granted for alleged exploitation to an economic operator who had opened the company five days after AUV announced the tender.
Peci continues to be interviewed by Special Prosecutor for two hours now.
Peci is not the only minister of this government interviewed by the Special Prosecutor.
Minister of Industry, Trade and Trade Roseta Hajdari was also interviewed by the Kosovo Special Prosecutor in 15.04.2024, in the quality of the suspect in connection with the state reserves case.
According to the prosecution, despite paying money to Turkish and Polish companies for wheat, oil and sugar, these products have not come to Kosovo, and Kosovo's budget has been subsequently damaged over 600 thousand euros.
For this very reason, it was also several times that Prime Minister Albin Kurti has been invited as a witness for interviewing, but the same has not respected the justice organs by reluctant to appear in the prosecution.
In the quality of the witness, last year the incumbent Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli was also interviewed in connection with investigations over Nagip Krasniqi, former KEK chief chief.
Krasniqi, who was once a VV member to this day, appears before the tribunal. He's suspected of several criminal acts like “Using official position or authority, exercise of influence and conflict of interest.
Krasniqi, who was brought to the helm of KEK by the VV, allegedly damaged the state budget by millions of euros.
Meanwhile, the investigation was also launched by the Special Prosecutor's Office for Lieburn Aliou's ministry about water divers. Aliu allegedly allowed, with the aim of profiting and causing damage to the state budget, for economic operators to reduce debts. With that under the decision to expand the investigation, Minister Aliu has caused damage to Kosovo's budget to millions of euros.
