President Vjosa Osmani has hosted the United Kingdom ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves, at the meeting.
This meeting discussed recent political developments in the country, with particular focus on the need for faster institution-restitutions after the February 9th elections.
Osmani and Hargrees reaffirmed bilateral commitment to strengthening bilateral reports between the two countries and deepening co-operation in areas of common interest both the economy and defence, as has agreed during British Foreign Secretary David Lammy's recent visit to Kosovo.
A part of the meeting was dedicated to the Berlin Process, which the United Kingdom will organise this time. President Osmani reiterated the need to prioritize the issue of violent missing persons as a moral and legal obligation that cannot be ignored under lasting peace in the region”.
“Also, the importance of further co-operation was stressed under the agenda for Women, Peace and Security (ËPS), given the possibilities for an even more active role of the United Kingdom in supporting women's role in peaceful and decision-making processes”, the president's office reports about this meeting, broadcasts Periscope.
It is also known that Osman at the meeting expressed gratitude for the continued support of the United Kingdom to Kosovo, as well as for its contribution to advancing democratic processes and integration into international organisations.
