She has said that peace is not inherited but built, maintained, and protected constantly.
“Today, I represent a free and sovereign Kosovo, a land once destroyed by war, but that today speaks with the language of peace, hope, and gratitude. US soldiers and NATO allies came to Kosovo not for glory, but because they believed in the fundamental right of every man to live free from oppression”, Osmani said.
She said that “in the most fragile moments, they offered us refuge not only for our homes, but also for our dreams. Thanks to them, Kosovo children finally sleep safely. Thanks to them, a country rose from the ashes”.
She added that American soldiers who came in uniform and stood firm will always have a home in Kosovo.
