On Friday, on the second day of the events, the Assembly held an opening ceremony.
Flags of participating countries, including those seen by Kosovo and Serbia, were posted there.
This session this year also marks the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement for Bosnia and Herzegovina, so the entire event will be dedicated to peace and security efforts in the Western Balkans. Presidents of other countries from the region as well as senior NATO, EU and US representatives are participating in this important event.
At the first session of this assembly, the war in Ukraine was discussed.
To end the war in Ukraine will require moral strength and clarity, the president of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly said.

Saying that NATO faced the most difficult security environment in a “generation of”, Perestrelo said the alliance should call “Clarity, unity and force” to help end the war in Ukraine and rebalancing defence investments.
Perestrelo acknowledged the change would be part of the challenge. President Donald Trump has called on NATO members to meet the required defence investments as a percentage of the gross domestic national product.
“We must shift the burden and transatlantic responsibility within NATO”, Perestrelo said. /Periscope/
