Haxhiu said the mortore remains were sent to the Institute of Legal Medicine for further examinations and identification process, followed by Periscope.
After two days of digging and exhumation operations in Pristina, the forensic teams of the Legal Medicine Institute and EULEX, with support from the Department for Investigation of War Crimes in Kosovo Police and the Government Commission for Missing Persons, have located the mortories of three missing persons during the recent war in Kosovo. Mortore remains have been sent to the Law Medicine Institute for further examinations and the identification process” writes Haxhiu.
This result has been achieved thanks to a long and coordinated analytical work by the respective institutions, as well as continued support of the International Red Cross.
