Social Democrat Party Chairman Dardan Moliqaj has commented on recent political developments in the country, following his refusal to make LDK Chairman Lumir Abdixhiku, the invitation of Prime Minister Albin Kurti for institutional co-operation.
Through a Facebook status, Molyqaj has assessed the LDK's refusal to Kurti as fair and arguing, stressing that particular importance has the reasons behind this decision, not just political denial.
“Refusing is the correct response to Kurt. So did the LDK chairman today. Abdixhiku... has begun widely by citing attacks on democracy, freedom of expression, capture of institutions and endangering national security,” has written Moliqaj.
However, Moliqaj expresses strong reservations to the LDK's proposal for a National Transitional Governance, naming this route as the “impossible” and contradictory in itself. He stresses that it is unlogical to expect someone who, according to him, has affected democracy and independent institutions to accept the handover of power through consultations.
“Which autism has handed over power to the table? None so far,” he writes, adding that this approach of the LDK reflects the will for taking genuine political responsibility.
In the end, Molyqaj highlights that the way to change the government is only through the creation of a parliamentary majority from the current opposition, not through formal reconciliations that, according to him, will have no real effect./Periscopi/
