The first Apostolic Delegate to Kosovo, Apostolic Nunci in Slovenia, had been appointed My Lord Julius Janusz, on February 10, 2011 by Pope Benedict XVI.
On that occasion, on a note from the Press Office regarding the duty of the Apostolic Delegate in Kosovo, it was said that the appointment of an Apostolic Delegate enters the function of organising the structure of the Catholic Church and, according to them, takes on mere internal character.
“The appointment of an Apostolic Delegate enters the function of organizing the structure of the Catholic Church and, as a result, takes on a purely internal character, remaining completely separate from considerations related to judicial and territorial situations or any other issue related to the diplomatic activity of the Holy See”.
The mission of an Apostolic Delegate is not of diplomatic nature, but responds to the need to properly assist the shepherding needs of Catholic believers”, the press Office of the Holy See noted.
We remember that the day before Pope Leon XIV was chosen. /Periscopi/
