Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said he has held a meeting with NISMA Social Democrat, Fatmir Limaj, to reach a government agreement, Periscopi reports.
Kurti, in an interview with the public broadcaster, said Limaj had asked for the position of the head parliament, but that according to Kurti, this cannot be achieved to avoid damaging relations with List Gux and Alternative.
I've had meetings with Fatmir Limaj. The meetings have gone to an atmosphere where trust, trust, will to co-operate, but there has been no agreement simply because of an insistence on a kind of precondition for future co-operation with the position of the chief parliament. Now I'm in a coalition with Guxo and Alternatives, now a party to give to the chief speaker when I have a coalition with a party which is double by the number of MPs, which is irreparably damaging the architecture of the preliminary agreement the VV has with these two parties. Having the vice president is understandable, but having the headparent is not understandable.
It's not healthy for the constitution since you've had three plans to have the Speaker of the Parliament, because the Constitution says it belongs to the greatest subject. Kurt said it./Periscopi/
