EU High Representative Kaya Kallas visited Kosovo yesterday. Immediately after arriving in Kosovo, she held a brief press conference. At the conference, it called on political parties to establish new institutions sooner.

“Formalisation of the new Assembly and the new Government is essential for Kosovo's stability and growth, as well as for the European future of Kosovo”, Kallas said.

She also spoke of EU measures, where she stressed that the EU has gradually begun their departure but must not have escalation of the situation in the north. After the conference, Kallas met one of the three opposition leaders. Initially, she held a meeting with PDK chairman Memli Krasniqi.
The latter, via a Facebook post, spoke about the meeting with the EU High Representative. He said he announced that the PDK is willing to make its contribution to resolving the current political crisis. It was a pleasure to meet Mrs. Kaya Kallas, European Union for Foreign Policy and Security High Representative during her visit to Kosovo. We discussed political developments in the country and the need for institutional stability and Kosovo progress towards European integration. Mrs. Kallas I announced that the PDK has given and remains ever ready to make its contribution to resolving the current political crisis, as well as to protecting civic and state interest. ”
“At the meeting, I also requested its commitment to removing Kosovo's punitive measures as fast as possible as a concrete sign for our country's European future and for advancing Kosovo relations. The PDK remains committed to Western values, close co-operation with international partners and advancing Kosovo's position in the international arena. Grateful for Mrs. Callas for our country. ”, Krasniqi wrote.
After him, Kallas also met LDK chairman Lumir Abdixhiku, who at the meeting unveiled the idea for the sweeping government.

 

“Today, I met High Representative, Vice President of the European Commission, Mrs. Kaya Kallas, on her first visit to Pristina. I expressed the LDK's positions on the necessity of lifting the measures to the Republic of Kosovo. These measures more than a Government hurt the people of Kosovo themselves. I laid out our views on the process of dialogue and the future ahead. ”

 

“I announced on the current political crisis in the country and the LDK proposal for the sweeping government as the only functional idea today Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic path requires political confidence, requires courage decision-makers, as requires a European Union that provides vision and future for the people of Kosovo.”, the LDK's first said in its Facebook post.

 

In the end, Kallas also met with AAK Chairman Ramush Haradinaj, who stressed the urgent need to lift EU punitive measures against Kosovo.
“Today I was honored to meet the High Representative, Mr. Vice President. European Commission President Kaya Kallas. During the meeting, I appreciated her role and the EU's commitment to the successes achieved in Kosovo and the region. ”

 

“I stressed the urgent need for lifting sanctions on Kosovo and also highlighted the importance of continuing European Union support on our integration path.”, Haradinaj wrote.
