Kosovo Police: The controlled explosion of a shell in Kacanik has successfully ended

The controlled explosion of a spare shell has been completed successfully since World War II in Kacanik. Kosovo Police have made this known through a Facebook announcement. “

“On the date of 02.05.2025, 12:35 in the village of Stagova in Kacavnik, in the neighborhood of “Teneqja”, has successfully been completed the controlled explosion of a suspected shell left over from World War II. The operation was conducted by KFOR units, in co-operation with the Kosovo Police station at Kacanik”.
For the safety of the citizens, a 1,000m security perimeter was located around the site.
The operation has been completed and until now no incidents or risks are reported for residents”, the police report says further.
