US aviation soldiers, assigned to the Regional East Command of the NATO Mission in Kosovo (KFOR), have recently developed training with “Bambi Bocket”, a device used to extinguish fires from the air.
According to KFOR's announcement, this training was conducted to keep the air crews prepared in case air interventions are needed to put out fires in the region. These efforts are realised by KFOR within its capacity and capabilities to support all communities living in Kosovo”, said the communique.
KFOR stresses that it continues to implement its mandate defined by the UN Security Council resolution to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities in Kosovo, as well as to ensure freedom of movement at any time and impartially.
KFOR's “Forces work in close co-ordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union's Mission for Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX), in their respective roles as part of the” security mechanism, the report further said.. /Periscopi/
