According to GDP, [...]
According to the GDP, this decision is unacceptable, unilateral, and seriously hits the private sector, especially the producers and providers of local services, which are already facing major financial challenges and uncertain markets.
From this meeting it said that an additional 50m euros per year will be paid by businesses only for energy, costs that eventually fall on Kosovo citizens through price hikes and job loss. The GDP at this meeting has called for an urgent delay for at least a year of this decision, business involvement in decision-making consultations and immediate review of tariffs and open energy market conditions.
“If our demands are ignored, the GDP could take democratic and established protest measures, including organised protests with workers and labour tools on the main streets of Kosovo, temporary closure of businesses and expressions of discontent in the squares and in front of institutions. We will not be able to allow the energy policy to become a burden to the local economy and the average consumer”, it was the conclusion of the AB's governing Board. /Periscope/
