A school hosting hundreds of displaced Palestinians has also been hit during the attacks, where 27 people were killed Tuesday evening, according to hospital officials Al-Axa, including nine women and three children. Early in the week, Israel approved a plan to usurp the entire Gaza Strip and stay in Palestinian territory indefinitely.
The Gaza war began when Hamas-led militants attacked southern Israel, killing 1,200 people and taking about 250 hostages. Israel says 59 hostages remain in Gaza, though it is believed that about 35 of them are dead.
