Israeli Ambassador: Priories had visa removal, Kosovars went to Tirana to be equipped

Today Kosovo citizens no longer need visas to enter Israel for tourist purposes, as long as they have a valid Kosovo passport and apply for ETA-IL. This is the result of the visa-free agreement signed between the two countries on 18 June 2024, which [...]
This is the result of the visa waiver agreement signed between the two countries on June 18th 2024, which was ratified on February 5th 2025 and entered into force on May 5th 2025.
Israel's ambassador to Kosovo, Tamara Ziv, has stressed that this has been one of their priorities.
In an interview for “Info Plus” in RTK, she said Kosovo and Israel have established diplomatic relations four years ago and “since then we have worked to advance these relations, and one of the things we thought was important, was free travel, free access to bilateral countries, so that people can be recognised among themselves, including businessmen. This was one of our top top priorities.
Kosovo citizens who want to travel towards Israel now must first electronically meet what is called ETA- A very simple process in which the data is written and the approval is obtained with a letter through which you can access”, Ziv said.
Asked how this will affect business relations between the two countries, she indicated she is convinced that exchanges will already be much bigger than they have been until now.
“has been needed to travel to Tirana to obtain a visa, while from today there is no need for that. Everyone simply can reserve a flight and come to Israel. We will be very pleased to welcome all Kosovo citizens who come to Israel for business or any other purpose. We look forward to having them there and promoting exchanges between the two countries. Even the Israelis will come to visit Kosovo”, she added.
The day before was marked Israel's Independence Day, which is celebrated annually on the anniversary of Israel's founding of the State of Israel according to the Hebrew calendar./Periscopi/
