IPK arrests police in Gjilan, suspected of domestic violence

Kosovo Police Inspector (IPK) has announced that he has arrested a police official Saturday under suspicion of domestic violence, Periscope reports.

The announcement states that the case occurred on Saturday morning in Gjilan.

Kosovo Police Inspectorate (IPK), respectively, investigators of the IPK Investigations Department have arrested today a police official on suspicion that the same had committed the same criminal act domestic violence. The IPK had accepted information from Kosovo Police concerning the suspicion of a police official in Gjilan has committed criminal violence in the family, while the incident reportedly occurred today in the early morning hours of Gjilan”, the report said.

The police have been detained for 48 hours, while the victim has been sent for medical treatment. He has also been suspended from work in the Kosovo Police.

After receiving information, IPK investigators have come to the scene and taken the necessary investigative actions, while the victim in this case has been sent for medical treatment. After several initial investigative actions, the competent prosecutor and the prosecutor's decision police official have been assigned the detention measure for 48 hours. Regarding the same case, as part of administrative and investigative procedures, the police official has been suspended by Kosovo Police at the recommendation of IPK”, the IPK report said.

The IPK has said that in co-ordination with the Prosecutor will work in full enlightenment of the case.
