According to Ceku, the LDK is making a wrong interpretation of the constitutional situation and of the government's term in office, demanding the prime minister's resignation and his replacement with a minister.
There's no trouble, because there's no base. So there's nothing more absurd than that request of the Democratic League. They're telling the prime minister to leave the office because you're sworn to be an MP, but when we ask him who should lead the executive until the new government becomes, they don't know how to answer. To tell the prime minister to get away, and let these go on with the job will be substituted there, whatever, because the prime minister is Government,” said Ceku in ATV broadcasts Periscope.
He explained that the current ministers are still in office, as they are appointed by the past legislature and remain in positions until the new government is formed.
“We are the ministers of the eighth Legislastra and the deputies of the 9th Legislastra. When I'm elected minister, I'm done with the deputy term, I'm a minister. I'm on duty today. I care until I'm minister of the Ninth Legissule. It's completely unreasonable, but especially in recent days we've seen unwise attitudes, statements and actions that the Democratic League is making in this situation,” declared Ceku.
