The Swiss village, Blette, has been partially destroyed after an avalanche of ice has fallen on it.
Although the village had been evacuated a few days earlier because of fear of ice, one was reported missing and many homes became flat.
Blatten Mayor Matthias Bellwald has said that the unimaginable “has occurred”, but has promised that the village will have a future, the BBC wrote, Periscope.

Local authorities have sought support from the Swiss Army unit for assistance.
