Hysri Selimi, arrested on May 6th by Kosovo authorities, is suspected of spying and direct co-operation with Serbia's Intelligence and Security Agency (BIA), according to the Special Prosecutor's File of the Republic of Kosovo (PSRK).
As reported TelegraphHysri Selimi has been having conversations with a BIA official through the Viber app.
These conversations, which, reports Telegrafi, reveal structured co-operation between Selim and BIA, including detailed reports of arrests in Kosovo, movements of radical groups and interest in creating illegal mid-Masjiditions (jammies) outside the control of the Islamic Community of Kosovo (BIK), broadcast Periscope.

Conversations through Viber that reveal new details:
In one of the messages of June 5th 2024, Selimi announces the Serbian official for the arrest in Ferizaj of two persons suspected as Serbia's associates, Bedri Shabani and Muharrem Qerim.
He then expresses concern about the possibility of his involvement in this case.

“Have you heard of this news? Is it possible to have a problem? Regardless, I travel as a free man,” wrote Selimi to the Serbian BIA official.
BIA official answers the following day: “No, no. What a relationship you have. See you tomorrow at 8:30. ”

In another communication, between Selimi and BIA official, the earlier allegations of Serbia's involvement in promoting radical currents in Kosovo are confirmed.
Selimi writes: “Genci and Aleejmi no... do not speak to his” group. Right away follows the BIA official's response: “are they looking to establish between the House?

This is considered one of Selim's main core co-operation with BIA.
According to the PSRK file, Selimi has gathered and later provided information to BIA about the number of radicalised persons and the number of Kosovo citizens who have gone to fight in Syria.
In addition, he had provided data to senior officials of political parties in Kosovo and information about security institutions.
The files reportedly have handed over information on BIA to physical meetings on Serbia's territory, while Selimi was paid up to 700 euros for his services. Similarly, BIA had equipped Selimi with smart phones to enable secret communication with Serbian officials.
Selimi's arrest is seen as part of a broader effort to combat spy networks and external influence on Kosovo's internal security issues.
