Highway accident in Croatia, two dead and some seriously injured by bus crash with car

A serious traffic accident has occurred today, in the early hours of the morning, on the A3 Coastan street,Zagreb Lipovac.
A bus and a vehicle, both with Bosnia and Herzegovina license plates, were involved in the accident.
According to Croatian authorities, two people have lost their lives as a result of the clash, while another 31 have been injured. Croatia's Health Minister has declared that one-third of those injured are in serious condition, reports Index.
The wounded have been transported to Zagreb, Sisk and Pakracy hospitals for treatment.
Emergency teams have immediately intervened at the scene, while traffic in both directions of the highway has been blocked for several hours, triggering long columns of vehicles.
According to preliminary information from the chief of firemen of the Sisačko-Moslavačka region, the accident was triggered when a Volkswagen vehicle hit a patrol that was on the street.
The driver stopped to warn other vehicles, but an approaching bus failed to stop on time and crashed into the car, breaking into the protective barrier and crossing the opposite lane.
