Former Constitutional Court Chairman Enver Hasani has proposed lifting the 5 per cent election threshold for parliamentary parties, or reducing it to 1 per cent or 2 per cent, as a solution to avoid political deadlocks in the institution's constitutional institution
The Assembly Convention has already failed 12 sessions as a new effort takes place today. According to Hasani, this situation would be repeated if there were no election threshold.
“To not happen the driver must remove the threshold. Play more actors. That doesn't complicate it anymore. There are new forces and individuals. It's given the chance, and the Assembly gets more competitive. I'm convinced it belongs to history because there's no one who can hold... abuse”, he said in Koha.net.
Hasani has estimated that the Vetevendosje Movement's effort, which now passes after several open votes in the secret vote for the name of the chief parliament, is unconstitutional. According to Hasani, this effort is “usure of the function of Parliament's chairman”. /Periscope/
