In his account in “Facebook”, Hamiti has shown several reasons that have affected this aspect.
The international position of the Republic of Kosovo has deteriorated sharply late, especially in the past two years. The image of our country has been damaged. Why? First, Albin Kurti's government has accepted the Brussels/Ohri Agreement in February and March 2023. This is Kosovo's worst agreement on long-standing dialogue with Serbia. It envisions Serbia's „only sequencing “, meaning political-territorial autonomy of Serbs in Kosovo, contrary to the unitary constitutional order of the Republic of Kosovo”, it has written, citing other arguments.
“second, Kosovo is under EU sanctions from June 2023. Hundreds of millions of euros has lost Kosovo for EU projects that would improve the lives of Kosovo citizens. Third, Kosovo remained outside the Council of Europe last year. He hasn't even entered the agenda for membership this year. Kosovo is being asked to implement the Brussels/Ohri agreements, which the government has accepted. Fourth, the country's foreign policy leaders, Kosovo leaders, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and President Vjosa Osmani are failing to move Kosovo forward on the path of Euro-Atlantic integration. Nor should they convince the leading European countries of Kosovo should the EU sanctions be lifted after two years. Calls for their removal are being made, but without result”, Hamiti wrote. /Periscope/
