The UN has announced that its teams in Gaza have still failed to distribute aid, despite dozens of trucks with supplies have entered Palestinian territory over the past two days.
Israeli officials reported that 93 trucks entered Gaza on Tuesday, carrying aid such as flour, children's food, medical equipment and pharmaceutical drugs. However, the UN stressed that, despite the entrance of trucks to the Palestinian side of the Kerem Shalom border, no aid has yet been distributed.
Israel, facing international pressure, agreed on Sunday to allow the entry of a “basic food capacity” in Gaza, at a time when global experts warn of a possible food crisis.
Meanwhile, pressure on Israel has continued to rise, with the United Kingdom suspending trade talks due to the escalation of violence in Gaza, which it has described as <x0);morally unwarranted”. On the other hand, an Israeli foreign spokesman has stated that international pressure “will not divert Israel from its path to protect its existence”. /Periscope/
