French Ambassador: We need an accounting government before the Assembly

France's Ambassador Olivier Guerot has demanded that the new government be established in Kosovo as soon as possible, which according to him would account for its work on the Kosovo Assembly. Moreover, he declared that it is not his job to be in charge of the country's institutions, but [...]
Furthermore, he declared that it is not his job who will be in charge of the country's institutions, but said it is important to make sure that there is a partner from Kosovo for joint diplomatic affairs between the two countries.
Guerot said that at the May 12th meeting with incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti, in addition to the current political situation, the app for the Council of Europe, association and dialogue.
“ [At the meeting with Prime Minister Kurti] we have also discussed Kosovo's app for the Council of Europe, the issue of association of Serb majority municipalities and more widely on the question of dialogue, again here and there we need a responsible government before the assembly. We need partners, we are Kosovo partners, we need someone to talk to them”, Guerot said.
According to him, as regards supporting the dialogue, it is also clearly stated by President Emmanuel Macron in Tirana that it must move forward. This, according to Guert, testifies to Europe's support and expectations for progress from dialogue.
“I don't know if you have heard the messages of President Emmanuel Macron in Tirana, it was extremely clear and constructive with positive direction in what he had said about dialogue. He has said come to resume in dialogue we want to move ahead of Kosovo and Serbia. So it's not about declining support from our country, from Europe, because we're in the same line to see progress”, he said in Rubik.
But we need governments before the assembly and from my point of view, I'm not going to say, of course, what government and who should be mayor, that's not my job. My job is to make sure we have a partner for my country, to have a partner in our joint diplomatic affairs”, Guerot said. /Periscope/
