An average family of three members currently pays an average of 5,173 euros per year for energy, including electricity, heating and fuel, compared to 5,442 euros in January. That means a reduction of 269 euros a year.
According to the energy expert in Verivox, Thorsten Stork, this slight relief for consumers is the result of a weak global economy, which has affected market demand and prices.
However, Stork points out that energy costs remain markedly higher than before the energy crisis in 2022, over 25 per cent compared to pre-crisis levels, broadcast albinfo.ch.
