Albania's Interior Minister, Pirro Veng, has announced that exercises under Defender Europe 25 will begin on May 25th and said NATO Forces and partners will be trained in Albania and Kosovo.
On May 25th, Albania welcomes one of the largest multinational military exercises: Defender Europe 25, headed by the US European Command (USEUCOM). NATO and partner forces will be trained in Albania and Kosovo for the protection of critical objects, offensive and defence operations, as well as for security at key diplomatic points”.
Veng said the clear message was a united NATO.
“A interoperability test and a clear message: NATO is united”.
Defender Europe 25 is one of the biggest military exercises led by the US and NATO, which are conducted annually in Europe to test the readiness and ability of forces to react to possible threats.
Kosovo this year plays a key role as a host and command centre for the Western Balkan region. /Periscope/
