Twenty-five thousand soldiers from 29 participating states are engaged in this exercise.
These exercises are conducted in 18 countries, including Kosovo, Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, northern Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden.
For two weeks, Kosovo will be host to this military exercise. The defence ministry has announced that from Monday through June 9th there will be co-voy movements from the Kosovo Security Force stations in the direction of the Gjakova region, namely, the Gjakova Airport and military range in Boka's Baba.
The defence ministry has confirmed the development of the exercise, which will include military convoy movements from the Kosovo Security Force bases in the direction of the Gjakova region, with particular emphasis at Gjakova Airport and the military range in Boka's Father.
This move will be realised in order to execute the international exercise éfender Europe 202550. We seek understanding of citizens during the exercise development period”, the Ministry of Defence announced.
Through this exercise, the Kosovo Security Force will be able to show its operational readiness and level of co-operation with regional and international allies, including the United States of America, Albania, Croatia, Northern Macedonia and Bulgaria.
We remember that Kosovo was not part of this exercise in 2023, as it was excluded because of increased tensions in the north.
