Acting Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli has indicated that the government is in the final phase of drafting a new support scheme for local producers in order to help them face the challenges of liberalising the electricity market. This scheme is developing with the support of the Luxembourg Development Agency ( LuxDev and will include:
• Isolation of buildings,
• Photovoltaic solar systems for energy production,
• thermal solar systems for heating water,
• The battery for saving energy from solar systems,
• Reformers of jet power that reduce consumption and increase the efficiency of existing devices.
“This means less energy costs, more competitiveness and greater security for any business produced in Kosovo”, Rizvanolli wrote.
Rizvanolli also announced that these measures, along with others the Government is considering, have been discussed at the “Forum. Electricity Market Liberalisation: Efficiency and relief measures”, which is part of the platform for Public-Private Dialogue.
Albin Kurti, Besnik Bislimi and Roseta Hajdari attended the forum, along with representatives of the odas and local businesses.
Rizvanolli stressed that the Government of Kosovo remains a close private sector partner, both in meeting challenges and in increasing its capacities. /Periscope/
