I think this decision is before an act is committed. Can this decision be annulled? Of course I do. But why is it being cancelled is that there are two decisions, there are two orientations: because in a decision, you've put business on the free market, the tariff decision. As the tariff review has been made and the tariff decision has been made, it has also released business on the free market. So the tariff decision must be annulled. Is there a legal basis or not to do this, I don't know. Is it necessary to liberalise the market? Yes! The market will have to be liberalised. Businesses also agree to liberalise the market, but what does the free market mean? At the moment it means something different with the countries of the region. KEK's agreement with KESCO and KEDS in this case is that it doesn't make the free market attractive either for citizenship or for business, because we have an agreement at an extremely low price compared to the market price”, said the former head of COST, Jeton Mehmeti, in Klan Kosova.
He has explained why it comes to the expensiveness of electricity, and who is applying for it.
The requirement for expensive electricity comes from operators such as COSTT, KESCO, KEK's KEDS, and operators who are regulated for recognition of tariffs. And ZERE is obliged to recognise the tariffs. What does knowing tariffs, spending mean? Each company makes investment planning, companies making investment plans, these investments are sent to the RER for approval. Adoption of these investments means raising tariffs for citizens and businesses”, Mehmeti said.
Among other things, he says the expensive electricity process has not been well planned by the ERE.
These “must be envisioned and predicted. Considering the tariffs becomes a year back. It's not about a year before you're allowed right away. Companies take these tools a year back. Companies operate during the year, and these tariffs collected this year are received next year. So, ZERE has always taken into account that prices are rising, the tariffs are rising, why they are growing is another topic, but it should have been prepared to at least have an awareness campaign for consumers”, said Mehmeti. /Periscopi/
