There is still no specific date when the trial process will take place in The Hague, against former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders.
At the April 1st session, the presentation phase of witnesses, invited by the Prosecutor's Office Specialised in the case named as “Thaci et al.”, writes IndexOnline.
Meanwhile, in early May, Hashim Thaci's defence lawyers, Rexhep Selimi, Kadri Veselin and Jakup Krasniqi, were given the opportunity to file a motion for the fall of the indictment's points.
This motion was allowed to appear in written form, not knowing when the next public session will be.
In a statement to IndexOnline, The Hague Special Court states that the next steps in the trial “Thaci and others -- shortly before the special prosecutor's closure of the case -- were discussed.
At that session, defence lawyers also offered their will to file a common request for the collapse of the charges.
The last “Affat to submit this request is 14 days after the Judicial Chamber has made its final decision on accepting evidence. After the request is submitted, the prosecution will be given 30 days to respond to the defence motion, and the Judicial Chamber will need some time to decide on it”, Specialised Chambers spokesman Michael Doyle told IndexOnline.
Doyle claims that after the decision of the Judicial Chamber, the victims' lawyers will present their cases.

Days ago the statements of the 29th witness invited by the Special Prosecutor were rejected, who declared with protected identity.
On the other hand, the Specialised Prosecutor's Office proposed editing transcripts of a piece of testimony to the 125th witness, who made his statement with protected identity on March 27th this year.
