The head of the Public Company “Cleaning”, Petrit Recica, has raised concerns about the alarming situation in the company, as a result of the non-paying of debts from the municipality and citizens.
In an interview for EO, Recica indicated that the debt has reached 2.7m euros and that now the five-month “Cleaning” is providing free services.
We're not asking for help, we're asking for our money. With that amount we would pay off all debts and continue work without obstacles, he said, adding that the company has no financial crisis, but a problem caused by the non-fulfillment of obligations by the municipality.
We have only one request and we have officially addressed it: to pay debt for the service we've been doing now for five months. The debt has reached 2.7m euros and there is no payment from the municipality and citizens, due to the call being made not to pay in the cleanup. This has brought us into this situation. It has not been our will or will to face a lack of oil today. As you can see, we have workers, and by morning we are discussing them. It's a situation we don't want, and we're not feeling well”, Recica said.
He added that this situation has caused serious problems, including the lack of oil for vehicles and delays in workers' payments.
Recica warned that further delays could also endanger public health due to the inability to provide regular services.
We work hard, 24 hours in seven days of the week. If someone has personal resentment, let them show what they are, because we consider that we have done our work at the highest level. In this situation, we have financial problems. The cleanup is not a financial crisis, but a financial problem caused by the municipality. Citizens have made payments of over a million euros, but that money is being kept. The problem is lack of pay. If we had those trucks, they'd go out and work, because we don't want to risk public health”, he ended up. /Periscopi/
