In this regard, his protector, lawyer Miodrag Brklajq, said his client has provided protection in last trial and has nothing to add, reports “Justice Trust”, broadcast Periscope.
I can't say he's angry, but in any case he's disappointed at the fact that after 15 days he's been in custody for three years. We as his defense have proposed that the detention measure be changed with a milder measure, but this has always been rejected by the court. The same defense he gave, there's nothing else to say, so let's not waste any more time, you appreciate what he said in past judgments”, the lawyer said.
During this session, the lawyer Brklajq proposed to the Court that some evidence of witnesses who have made the identification of the defendants be declared unacceptable evidence, since, according to him, they were taken contrary to the Criminal Procedure Code.
This proposal was rejected by special prosecutor Ayse Ferati, who said there is nothing against it and that they should be considered acceptable.
“E rejects the defender's proposal regarding the processes he has mentioned in his statement, and the same be considered unacceptable evidence, because the processes that have been mentioned in that parachute, the same have been taken in line with the KKPPRK and there is nothing illegal to consider them unacceptable”, Ferati said.
Since the accused was quietly protected, the prosecutor was unwilling to proceed with the final word, so the session was interrupted to continue another day.
The lawyer's claims, Judge Against Arrni, said they will be considered on the case of making the decision.
Otherwise, on June 10, 2024, the Constitutional Court in Pristina had sentenced defendant Joliq to eight years in prison for war crimes in the city of Istog. But, the Court of Appeals on November 4th, 2024, has turned the case against him into retrial.
Otherwise, the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo (PSRK) on November 18th, 2022, has filed charges against defendants Caslav Jolic with the argument that during the time of the Kosovo war, in co-ordination with other people, violating the rules of international law, applied torture measures and causing great suffering or violation of body integrity or civil health that have not directly participated in conflicts for reasons related to the war.
