The Central Election Commission will hold the next meeting today, with two key points on the agenda expected to directly influence election processes and the financing of political parties.
Among the most important points is the decision to ban financial means from the Fund for supporting political subjects, for all those parties that have been sentenced to fines by the Electoral Panel for Anxiety and Parashtre (PZAP) during the latest election campaign, conveyed Periscope.
The Office for Recording, Certificate and Financial Control of Political Subjects has announced the amount of fines to be stopped by the fund:
Vetevendosje Movement: 212,500 euros
Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK): 144,500 euros
Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK): 136,600 euros
AAK-Nisma coalition: 72,300 euros
Sloboda, Obstanak's Pravd: 3,500 euros
All these vehicles will be transferred to the PZAP accounts, as part of the sanctions mechanism for violations during the campaign.
This decision is expected to mark an important precedent in the report between financial transparency and punitiveness in the election processes in Kosovo.
