Callas north: One side says one thing, another side another, internationals give the exact mirror

EU High Representative Kaya Kallas said there are different versions of the parties on its unprecedented visit to the north of the country where it was declared to the media there.

She said the visit to the north is important because the “we see many different narrativas and it is necessary to be witnessing for ourselves what is happening on the ground and what people are saying”.

I think these are extremely important information for me to understand the situation better, because we see that one side says one thing and the other says something else. But I think the international forces that are here are providing a rather accurate mirror and it is also important to talk to people in the country”, Kallas said, reports Periscope.

She added: “and then we can see what we can do most in order for the future to be prosperous, secure and quiet for all in Kosovo”.

The EU's top diplomat said she visited the tribunal in the north and said the court is functional and that she is waiting for Serbian judges to return.

I also met with representatives of schools here to understand the situation and to negotiate directly with people, to see for myself what is happening. They, of course, are on the move and I have spoken with KFOR, also with the EULEX mission, to get their impressions of the situation on the ground”.
