The Food and Veterinary Agency has announced that by May 20th, it temporarily bans the import of chicken meat and other poultry products from Brazil.
This decision has been made in the wake of bird flu outbreaks on a commercial farm in Brazil's Rio Grande State, confirmed on May 16, 2025 by Brazilian authorities.
This decision reportedly aims to protect public health and prevent possible spread of the disease on Kosovo territory.
