The DP leader has reacted to speculation about the possibility of resignation following the outcome of May 11th parliamentary elections, stressing he has no intention of leaving the party's leadership. During a press conference, he indicated that he had resigned only when he lost choices he did not consider to be a lighthouse.
I thought and made it happen. This question cannot be posed to me that when I lost a choice that was not a farce, I resigned. And a young man came after me. I didn't choose him, he was chosen by DP membership. After being elected, I supported him because I was just a playful member of my political force. But you cannot help but say that he was not young. He was young”, Berisha said.
To reinforce his stance that he will not leave after the loss of elections on May 11th, Berisha said: “but the question you asked me, I am the man I have tried and verified. And I've done very well. I am not led by prejudice. I thought a new generation would be a great chance for political force”
At the same conference, Berisha denounced the manipulation of the election process, accusing Prime Minister Edi Rama of using criminal gangs in the Vora elections, which he said affected the election outcome. “Banda whole of the yard. All of them, call the elections... The bold journalist of the exposes, leads him up to fraud, shows that he is a gendarmer there, the gendar of electors”, Berisha said, referring to an incident reported by the media on election day.
The battle for the May 11th election, Sali Berisha, should do it in parliament even with MPs who did not compete or win in this electoral race, which for the last time will go to parliament.
