Bekim Jashar: Today we remembered the 26th anniversary of the liberation of the Eagle Village.

Bekim Jashari, former head of Skywright, has announced that today they have gathered in Eagles to commemorate the 26th anniversary of the liberation of this village, to humbly and proudly honour the war and heroism of his martyrs who fell for Kosovo freedom.

In a Facebook post, he said they deeply remember the contribution of the glorious Brahimaj family, not only to their sacrifice but also to hospitality, courage and endurance.

“In their tower of resistance have stood warriors and commanders from Drenica all over Kosovo, as a strong witness that all were united in spirit, ideal and liberation war. In this anniversary, we honoured the heroin of this country, mother Aze Brahimaj, rightly known as the NLA's “Mother”. It was not only a host of freedom fighters, but an active participant in the liberation efforts”.

On this commemorative day, let us reflect deeply on the sacrifice of martyrs and respond to them by their actions. Let us preserve national unity, exalt the values of freedom and commit ourselves, without political differences, to a more fair, more developed and united Kosovo.
