Baraliu has said the participation of representatives of the main parties is a constructive signal, but criticised the lack of will for resolution.
According to him, the president has fulfilled the constitutional obligation to ensure the functioning of institutions.
“It is positive that they have written down, the representatives of the main political parties have responded to the president's invitation. And there was a debate there, quiet and that's the starting point. We will probably see how the country's president will act in the future, after meeting also with representatives of minority communities' parties. I think that the meeting with all parties is a good opportunity, it is a good opportunity, and the end is a constitutional duty of the president to take care of the well-being and functioning of institutions. And she did that. It would take political subjects to reflect, change strategies. Their strategy is no strategy for me. It's a ship-tradition, it's disappointing in terms of citizenship...”, Baralius said at FIVE.
The efforts of parties to shift responsibility to the president and push him to address the Constitutional Court, according to Baraliu, could delay the process and serve as a means of gain for some, but Kosovo itself is the one that loses out of this crawl.
Baraliu has added that the return to the elections is not an appropriate option, since the will of citizens is already expressed.
Make sure there's a pe-responsion from all because both sides are part of the responsibility. And that's not how it falls. The objective or orientation of party representatives to place responsibility and burden on the president to ask the Constitutional Court. This could last, it could delay the process, it could buy time, but it could waste time on Kosovo. I don't really think it's a choice. Even going to the elections is no choice. Because the will of the citizen has been proven”, Baraliu added. /Periscope/
