International shift expert Cepee Tabibian has shared her personal experience and identified factors that make it a more attractive place for American immigrants.
Tabibian, who at 35 years of age abandoned his life in Texas to settle in Spain, has established the “platform She Hit Refresh”, which helps women over 30 to take concrete steps towards a new life abroad.
According to her, the most hospitable countries for Americans are those offering favourable visas, low living costs, open social climates and strong international communities.
Albania is singled out on this list because of its liberal policy towards American citizens, who are allowed to stay up to a year without visas. This makes the country a very attractive destination for those who work in distance and have a limited budget.
The capital, Tirana, has become a living centre for the foreign community, with English widely spoken and a dynamic atmosphere for social and professional life. Meanwhile, the Albanian Renaissance, with its amazing coastline along the Ionian Sea, offers a calmer and beautiful alternative to those seeking nature and relief.
According to CNBC, many Americans view Albania as an ideal “setting aside” for life outside the U.S.
Other destinations mentioned by CNBC in addition to Albania include:
Spain, rich social culture and opportunities for digital nomads.
Portugal, for relaxed lifestyles and numerous visa options.
France, for quality living and friendly policies toward families.
Holland, for modern infrastructure and facilities for American entrepreneurs.
