In a speech during a rally of his party, as AGK says, Kurti has failed to address the report's findings, blaming the media and journalists for the ranking in 99.
” Kurti has offered “training and government courses for journalists and media”, which is a serious and unacceptable effort for governmental influence in their work, and a tendency to question the professionalisation of Kosovo media.
Acting Prime Minister Kurti has not mentioned the adoption of the anti-unconstitutional law for the Independent Media Commission, the political influence of his party on public broadcaster, RTK, nor the ongoing campaign of use of promotive and hate speech to journalists and media, by officials from his party”.
Among other things, AGK invites Mr. Kurti or anyone who forms the new Government to engage in an open dialogue with all the Heeders in order to seriously address the findings of the report and work on improving media freedom in Kosovo.
