Kosovo Journalists' Association (AGK) and Kosovo Women Reporters Network ( RGGGK, through a reaction, has condemned sexist to journalist Edona Gashi, by Pristina Chairman Progress Rama.
The use of terms like <x0lish> ”, “heart” and similar in communication with a journalist is not only unprofessional, but aims to minimize the seriousness of the subject she is dealing with and lower her professional credibility”, it says in response.
Response:
Kosovo Journalists' Association (AGK) and Kosovo Women Reporters Network ( RGGK) condemned the use of inappropriate and sexting language on the part of Pristina chairman, Rama (LDK) Progress, to TV journalist “Piraña”, Edona Gashi.
Using terms like <x0lish> ”, “heart” and similar in communication with a journalist is not only unprofesssive, but aims to minimize the seriousness of the subject she is dealing with and lower her professional credibility. This behavior clearly reflects the patriarchal and uncertain environment in which women journalists in Kosovo are forced to work every day.
AGK and RGGGK call on President Rama to seek public forgiveness for this unacceptable behavior and ensure full respect for the role of journalists and their right to seek answers in public interest./Periscopi/
